Oats Idli
Idli is light as it is cooked by steaming, and oats, being cereal grains, are also known for their lightness. Hence, a dish with such lightweight ingredients adds to its overall health benefits! Oats idli are fluffy, light, and delicious!
Oats idli is a new rendition of the existing traditional idli recipe. Traditionally, idli is made by steaming fermented batter of rice and is served with sambar and condiments such as coconut chutney, garlic chutney, peanut chutney, and more.
Oats Idli
Ingredients
- 1 cup Roasted oats
- 1/2 cup Sooji
- 1/2 cup Curd
- 1/2 cup Water or as per requirement
- 1 tsp Grated ginger
- 1 tbsp Chopped coriander
- 1/2 tsp Green chilly optional
- 1 tsp ENO fruit salt
- Salt according to taste
Instructions
- Grind the roasted oats
- Mix sooji, curd, salt and water in roasted oats.
- Mix them well and leave for 20 Minutes
- Now add ENO and pour some water on it. Mix it well.
- Add ginger, coriander & green chill
- Now mix them well in oats idli batter
- Put this oats idli better in greased idli moulds.
- Steam it for 7-8 minutes
Notes
Quick , Tasty & healthy Oats idlis are ready. Serve it with Sambhar or Chutney.
